Los Angeles authorities confirmed the arrest of emerging rapper D4vd (David Anthony Burke) on Thursday. The arrest occurred in connection with the death of a 13-year-old girl, whose body was found in an advanced state of decomposition inside a luxury vehicle owned by the artist in September 2025.
The case that shocked the music industry began when Residents of a neighborhood in Hollywood reported putrid odors coming from un black tesla that had been abandoned for weeks.
After being towed to a municipal depot, Detectives discovered the remains of Celeste Rivas Hernándeza teenager who had been reported missing in Riverside County months earlier.
Police sources detailed that the body of The victim was found dismembered inside bags in the trunk of the vehicle. Although the car was registered in the rapper’s name, it was never reported stolen, which placed the singer at the center of the investigation from day one.
D4vd, who rose to fame in 2022 with the success of TikTok “Romantic Homicide“had maintained a low profile since the beginning of the investigations. Although initially his team assured that the musician was collaborating with justice, recent reports indicate that communication with investigators had cooled down.
The artist currently remains under arrest without bail. Although no formal charges have been filed yetthe case is expected to be turned over to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office next Monday to determine the specific accusations, which could include murder. His lawyers maintain his innocence, claiming that the evidence will show that Burke was not the perpetrator of the crime.
