Raúl Rangel is one of the best goalkeepers in Mexican soccer today. The 26-year-old goalkeeper has a great chance of being El Tri’s starting goalkeeper in the 2026 World Cup. Among his objectives, Rangel also points to Europe.
The Chivas de Guadalajara goalkeeper acknowledged that He would like to go to football in Europe. One of the goals of “Tala” is to be able to make the leap to the Old Continent. Rangel has spent his entire career in the Sacred Flock.
“I would like to be part of that list of Mexican goalkeepers who have gone to Europe (…) It is a very achievable goal and I believe it can be achieved. Yes, I am willing to go and obviously show that the Mexican goalkeepers we can go compete against European goalkeepers“Rangel said on ESPN.
Raúl Rangel maintains a great rhythm currently. The Chivas de Guadalajara goalkeeper has been linked to several European clubs. According to details from Transfermarkt, “Tala” has been linked to clubs such as Feyenoord Rotterdam, Carrying Lisbon and FC Copenhagen.
“I am as calm as ever. I have worked a lot on the mental part, I know it is a great responsibility and I have to live up to it. (…) I have handled myself fairly, being a sober goalkeeper who contributes as much as possible to the team,” he added.
Raúl Rangel has a current contract with Chivas de Guadalajara until June 2028. The value of the “Tala” token is around $6.8 million dollarsapproximately. Rangel has not had his first experience outside the Guadalajara team.
