On this occasion, it was announced that The “Umbrella” singer will be recognized with the Edison Achievement Award 2026, an award intended for personalities with significant contributions to society.
The decision is made by the Edison Awards Steering Committee, based on the nominee’s biography, impact and visionary practices; on this occasion, Rihanna achieved this title thanks to her legacy as an artist and her business revolution with Fenty Elegance.
The news was announced by the organizing committee of the awards from the Instagram platform: “Through her pioneering work with Fenty Elegance and Savage X Fenty, she has redefined inclusivity, creativity and innovation in the world of beauty and fashion”reads the statement.
In addition to receiving this honor for her success in the professional field, the social causes to which she has given voice were also a great factor, as they have benefited thanks to various initiatives.
““Her commitment to global progress is reflected in the Clara Lionel Foundation, which promotes fundamental work in climate solutions, female entrepreneurship, arts and culture, access to health and equity, and future generations.”highlighted the institution.
Likewise, it was announced that by recognizing the work of the interpreter, she has made history: “Rihanna is recognized as the first woman of color to receive the Edison Lifetime Achievement Award,” the publication reveals. “Congratulations, Rihanna! You are building an impactful legacy that will inspire generations to come.”
The event where Rihanna will receive this honor will take place this Thursday, April 16 in Fortress Myers, Florida. However, the celebrity will accept the honor online due to work commitments within her busy schedule.
