The pop world witnessed a moment that many considered impossible. After ten years of estrangement that marked the end of the golden period of Disney Channel, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato reunited publicly.
The long-awaited moment occurred this Monday night in Orlandoduring the start of Lovato’s tour, titled “It’s No Longer That Deep Tour“.
According to reports from Web page Six, Gomez not only attended the concert as another spectator, but was seen in the VIP area euphorically supporting her former best friend.
The reunion was sealed behind the scenes, where both shared an emotional hug that was captured in photographs that are already going around the world.
Another key figure from his past joined the meeting: Joe Jonaswho was also present to show his support for Demi in this new musical stage. The three artists, who defined the youth culture of the late 2000s, posed together, remembering the times of “Camp Rock.”
The relationship between Selena and Demi has been a roller coaster of public and private ups and downs. Although they had a brief approach on a red carpet in 2017, close sources assure that this is the first time in a decade that the two have had a meaningful conversation and repaired their bond.
“Time heals wounds,” a source close to the artists told Web page Six. “They have both been through a lot on a personal and professional level, and are finally in a place of maturity where they value their shared history.”
This reunion not only marks peace between two global icons, but also closes one of the longest and most talked about chapters in teen entertainment.
