President Donald Trump insists on anticipating a victory in the war that began on February 28 against Iran, this outside the negotiations carried out with diplomatic representatives of the Islamic Republic to achieve a definitive ceasefire agreement.
During an informal meeting with some reporters outside the White House, the 79-year-old Republican reiterated that the US armed forces fulfilled their objective of stopping the threat that Iran came to represent for the security of the world and, therefore, victory is on their side.
“We will win no matter what happens. Maybe they will reach an agreement, maybe not,” said the president.
Almost fleetingly, Trump pointed out that the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is being carried out partially, since the mines planted by the Iranian navy on the bottom of the seabed with the aim of preventing the free transit of ships loaded with oil and various necessary goods, especially in Europe, have not yet been completed.
“We have minesweepers there. We are sweeping the strait,” he said.

Likewise, the New York tycoon was proud of having destroyed the Iranian navy and air force, but clarified that he did so without the support of those he assumed were his allies.
“NATO did not help us,” he emphasized in a reproachful tone.
Asked about a report warning that the Chinese government will try to supply weapons to Iran with the aim of prolonging the war, Trump stated without hesitation that, if so, he would face “big problems” for supporting the regime.
The conservative president’s accusations arose while James David Vance, US Vice President, has been negotiating an agreement for more than 12 hours in Islamabad, Pakistan. that provides certainty regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and guarantees on the nuclear program developed by the Islamic Republic.
“If the Iranians are willing to negotiate in good faith, we are willing to extend our hand. If they try to deceive us, they will find an unreceptive negotiating team,” he said.
The controversial point is that, If an agreement is not reached, then the military offensive would resume in two weeks as Donald Trump warned.
