Although Ben Sasse, former senator from Nebraska, has undergone all the therapies recommended by doctors, He is aware of suffering from five types of cancer and is therefore resigned to dying very soon.

During his participation in the “Consuming Cases” podcast produced by the newspaper Unique York CasesSasse spoke about the ravages of the disease on his body without losing sight of the fact that He is in the last month of life predicted by doctors at the time of discovering the severity of his case.

“In mid-December they gave me a life expectancy of three to four months, and since then I have been ninety-nine days or something like that, and I am much better than at Christmas.

They informed me that I suffer from five types of cancer: lymphoma, vascular cancer, lung cancer, aggressive liver cancer, and pancreatic cancer, where it originated. So it became quite clear that we have only a few months left to live,” he mentioned.

Despite the critical nature of his case, with no hope of healing and the fact that his face looks covered in dried blood, The former senator’s optimism is worthy of praise, as he smiles in the face of adversity awaiting the arrival of a moment from which, sooner or later, no one will escape.

“I have continued to feel peace knowing that death is something we should hate. We should call it an evil thief. And yet, it is quite good that you pass through the veil of tears once and then there will be no more tears, there will be no more cancer,” he said.

As a good father, Ben Sasse’s important concern is to leave his family, his two daughters, both of legal age, helpless, but above all his only son, the youngest in the family.

“I didn’t like the idea that my 14-year-old son didn’t have a father present when he was 16. Nor did I like that my daughters, ages 22 and 24, didn’t have their father to accompany them to the altar. I felt deeply sad about it,” he admitted.

Ben Sasse suffers from nausea and facial bleeding, due to taking the medication daraxonrasib. However, he assures that his pain has been reduced 80% since he received the diagnosis of his disease.
