A civil trial takes place after a lawsuit over the shooting of a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer in which teenager Valentina Orellana-Peralta died at a Burlington store in North Hollywood in December 2021.

In Los Angeles Superior Court, attorneys presented their opening statements on Wednesday in the case centered on Valentina’s death. for which his relatives filed a lawsuit for wrongful death.
