The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, This Wednesday he celebrated the two-week truce agreed between Iran and the United States. after almost six weeks of war, which he said is a “good” thing for the country due to oil prices, and expressed hope for peace in the Middle East.

The Mexican leader highlighted that the temporary understanding between both countries brings benefits for the world and for Mexico, particularly due to the stabilization of energy markets.
“It is also a good thing for the country because oil prices have dropped.“he stated.
He added that the global expectation is that dialogue will contribute to reducing regional tensions: “The entire world at this moment is seeking peace in Iran and the Middle East,” he said.
US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday night a temporary two-week cessation of hostilities with Iran, during which both sides will negotiate in Pakistan a possible peace agreement based on a ten-point proposal presented by Tehran.
The present truce includes the commitment to allow safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the main global oil transportation routes, in coordination with the Islamic Republic. EFE
