The pop world received news that many were expecting: the Brazilian singer Anitta officially confirmed that Shakira will be part of his 8th studio album, titled “Equilibrivm”.
Through his Instagram account, The Brazilian singer revealed the name of the collaboration: “Choka Choka”a song that promises to become one of the most powerful anthems of 2026.
For the announcement, Anitta shared an image loaded with mystical symbolism: a tarot card where both artists appear illustrated under the stars, with Shakira representing the sun and Anitta the moon.
“You have no idea how happy I am to announce this collaboration,” said the “Envolver” singer, who recently celebrated her 33rd birthday with the announcement of this new project.
“Equilibrivm”: a trilingual project
Anitta’s new album, scheduled for release on April 16marks a milestone in his international career. With the title stylized as “EquilibrIVm”, the album will include songs in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
According to the producers, the launch will be divided into two phases. The first will explore Brazilian roots with funk, samba and reggae rhythms, while the second phase will enhance its international projection with collaborations such as that of Shakira.
Live debut in Copacabana?
It didn’t take long for the rumors to spread. Fans are speculating that the live world premiere of “Choka Choka” could happen next May 2date on which Shakira will offer a massive free concert on the emblematic beach of Copacabanain Rio de Janeiro.
