Omar Chávez, one of the heirs of the legendary former world champion Julio Cesar Chavezis in serious legal problems when he was arrested this Wednesday morning and held in the Aguaruto prison, Sinaloa, supposedly for ignoring several court summonses for domestic violence.
This Wednesday things went differently in Sinaloa and for a long time it would not distract public opinion with the arrest of one of the members of the Chávez dynasty and where he will have to face the documents and evidence proving that the crime being challenged requires being detained until a new hearing.
Omar Chávez was arrested by the Mexican authorities upon attending the initial hearing in the courts located in Aguaruto and dAccording to unofficial versions, he had been accused of attacking his partner, But these accusations had been recorded weeks ago and he did not respond to calls to court.
According to the Línea Directa portal, Omar Chávez could not escape the action of justice, since the boxer had attended the initial hearing this Wednesday morning for the crime of acquainted violence, but in the process he was given preventive detention.since he was not able the first time he had been summoned.
According to official sources, they stated that Julio César Chávez’s son evaded calls to the courts on several occasions to address his legal situation. Therefore, on this occasion, preventive detention was issued.
It was when the procedural police themselves handed over to elements of the State Preventive Police the son of the great Mexican boxing champion from the city of Obregón, Sonora.
In addition, it was highlighted that at the conclusion of the initial hearing where the Sinaloan boxer, also the brother of Julio César Chávez Jr., was arrested.and gave the date for the next hearing, which will be for Monday, May 25, 2026so he will spend these days confined in the Aguaruto Penitentiary Center awaiting his trial.
In the next hearing, Omar Chávez will have the option of benefiting from the benefit of paying for damages caused to his romantic partner, so he will be able to obtain his freedom or face their lawyers the accusation for the crime of domestic violence and avoid being linked to the process.
