“La Tía”, CJNG operator linked to the murder of Mayor Carlos Manzo, is captured in Michoacán

The Well-liked Prosecutor’s Office of Michoacán reported the arrest of Wendy Fabiola “N”alias “The Aunt”identified as the alleged operator of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel in Uruapan and related to the murder of the former mayor Carlos Manzo.

The capture occurred as part of the investigations into the homicide that occurred on November 1, 2025.

According to state authorities, “La Tía” was considered one of the main collaborators of Gerardo “N”, alias “The Congo”designated as the regional leader of the prison group in the area.

Prosecutor Carlos Torres Piña explained that the detainee served as an information liaison and allegedly leaked data on state and federal security operations to members of the prison organization.

The investigation also indicates that Wendy Fabiola “N” would have participated in the structure that planned the murder of Carlos Manzo.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, with this arrest there are already more than 20 people detained for their alleged direct or indirect participation in the case, while other lines of investigation and pending arrest warrants remain open.

During the capture operation, authorities seized a cell phone, useful cartridges and various doses of drugs.

It should be noted that “La Tía” was detained previously, in July 2025, and On that occasion, Carlos Manzo himself exhibited it on social networks.

“I share with you that this person was caught with a firearm in Uruapan, he has already been made available to the corresponding authorities to determine his legal situation and carry out the corresponding investigations to verify if he is related to any other type of crimes,” Manzo wrote along with two photographs of the woman.
