Virginia gas station employee fatally stabbed customer during argument at pumps

A man was arrested in Virginia after allegedly fatally stabbing another man during a fight at a gas stationPrince William County authorities reported.

Police identified the suspect as Michael Orlando Dickey, 42, who faces a charge of involuntary manslaughter and is being held without bail, according to ABC.

The victim was identified as Jonathan David Ferreyra Agapito, 20 years old.

Fight at gas station ended in tragedy

According to the Prince William County Police Department, the incident occurred around midnight Sunday at a Shell station located in Dumfries, Virginia, about 50 miles southwest of Washington, D.C.

The authorities indicated that Agapito became involved in a physical altercation with an employee of the establishment, later identified as Dickey.

During the fight, the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim once in the upper part of the body.

After the attack, Agapito collapsed near the gasoline pumps and was unconscious before the arrival of the emergency services.

The victim died at the scene

Officers and paramedics responded after receiving reports of a stabbing at the gas station. However, The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dickey was subsequently detained and arrested by authorities.

Police said the investigation remains open and asked anyone with information about the case to contact local authorities.

So far, no details have been revealed about what caused the fight between the two men, nor has a court appearance date been announced for the accused.
