The cycle of Robert Lewandowski with the FC Barcelona It will come to an end at the conclusion of the right season. The Polish forward confirmed his departure this Saturday through a message on his internal Instagram account, in which he ended a four-year spell at the Catalan club.

A few months after turning 38 years old, The attacker will close his contractual relationship this summer and will not continue with the Barça team. His farewell will occur after a period in which he won titles and established himself as one of the team’s main offensive references.
In his publication, Lewandowski summarized his time at the club and thanked the support received since his arrival in Spain. “After four years full of challenges and hard work, it is time to change. I leave with the feeling of a duty accomplished. Four seasons, three championships. I will never forget the love I have received from the fans since my arrival. Catalonia is my place on earth”he expressed.
A goodbye after a period of titles
During his stay in Barcelona, the forward contributed to the conquest of three LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups. His arrival represented one of the club’s most relevant signings in recent years and became a key piece in the team’s competitive recovery.
The Polish international also dedicated part of his message to those who accompanied him at this stage. He mentioned the people he met during these years and especially thanked president Joan Laporta for giving him the opportunity to join Barcelona.
“Thank you for giving me the opportunity to live the most important chapter of my career.”, wrote the player in reference to the leader.
Last home game
Lewandowski’s farewell in front of the fans could take place this Sundaywhen Barcelona plays its last match of the season at the Spotify Camp Nou. The rival will be Accurate Betison the penultimate day of LaLiga.
That match will mark the closing of a stage for one of the most recognized scorers in European football. In his closing message, the forward also left a farewell phrase addressed to the club and the region where he lived these years: “Barça is once again where it deserves. See Barça. See Catalunya”.
With this announcement, the Catalan club loses one of its recent references, while the player prepares to begin a new professional stage outside of Spain.
