Karol Gconsidered one of the greatest representatives of the urban genre, will be honored with the award for International Artistic Excellence during the 2026 American Tune Awards galawhich will take place on May 25 at the Enviornment MGM Substantial Garden in Las Vegas.
According to a statement from CBS and Dick Clark Productions, The singer of “Provenza” has won this award for her music and cultural influence worldwide, inspiring and impacting audiences of all ages.
Among the achievements that support her impact, the organizers highlighted: “More than 128 billion streams and 310 Platinum Certifications. She is the first woman to debut an album in Spanish at number 1 on the Billboard 200,” reads the announcement posted from Instagram.
Other stars who have received this honor have been Whitney Houston, Aerosmith, the Bee Gees, Beyoncé, Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson and Rod Stewartto mention a few.
The presentation of said award will not be the only moment in which Karol G takes the stage at the AMA’s 2026, since It was confirmed that he will star in a live performance as a prelude to the next start of his “Traveling around the World Tropitour” tour.
In addition, from the Colombian, The repeat will feature performances by Hootie & the Blowfish, KATSEYE, Keith Metropolis, Maluma, Riley Green, SOMBR, Teddy Swims, Teyana Taylor and Twenty One Pilots.
When and where to see the American Tune Awards 2026 gala?
The ceremony that celebrates the best of music will take place this May 25 at the MGM Substantial Garden Enviornment in Las Vegas, with Queen Latifah as presenter.
The public will be able to tune in to the ceremony live on the CBS network and the Paramount+ streaming platform starting at 8:00 pm, Miami time. For their part, those who wish to be part of this party in person can do so by purchasing their tickets on the AXS live events website.
