Thinking carefully before choosing it is not an exaggeration. This model combines several virtues, but it also has nuances that are worth knowing. From mechanical options to its day-to-day behavior, there are several points that can make a difference.

Motors for different profiles

The CR-V Accurate offers two clear paths. On the one hand, a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 190 horsepower that performs without complications. On the other hand, a hybrid variant that combines a 2.0-liter block with electric motors to reach 204 horsepower.

Both use CVT-type automatic transmission, although the hybrid opts for a more efficient version designed to optimize consumption.

Front-wheel drive is standard, but some versions add all-wheel drive, something interesting if you move in areas with difficult climates or more demanding roads.

How much does it cost and what does it offer?

Price is one of the key factors. The range starts near the $31,450 dollars for a putrid version, while better equipped options like the EX go up to about $33,700 dollars with details such as a sunroof or heated seats.

If the interest is in the hybrid, the jump is logical. The Sport Hybrid starts from about $35,700 dollars and the most complete version, Sport Touring Hybridreaches approximately $42,150 dollars. It is not the cheapest in the segment, but it is one of the most balanced in what it offers.

Accurate consumption and use

One of the CR-V’s strong points is its efficiency. The traditional versions achieve good numbers, but the hybrid is the one that really stands out. In the city it can reach figures close to 43 mpg, which makes it very attractive for those who prioritize fuel economy.

In real conditions, these values may vary. In mixed tests, some users recorded figures close to 30.4 mpg in hybrid versions, which remains competitive within the segment.

Not everyone is looking for a zero kilometer model. In that case, previous generations of the CR-V are still a safe bet. Models between 2016 and 2022 offer a good level of comfort, space and reliability.

Of course, it is a good idea to review the maintenance history carefully and make sure that any review campaigns have been resolved. Some older models had calls for safety issues that should not be overlooked.

The good and the not so good

Honda has a solid reputation, but not all years were the same. The 2017 and 2018 units received more criticismespecially due to electronic failures or somewhat sensitive assistance systems.

From 2019the situation improves significantly. So if you’re looking at the used market, those years are usually a quieter bet.

One of the most interesting points of the CR-V is its low depreciation. QIt loses around 44.5% of its value in five years, much less than the market average.

That makes it a smart buy if you’re thinking about the long term or future resale. The constant demand and the image of reliability work in its favor.
