The president of the United States, Donald Trump, warned this Monday that the ceasefire with Iran is “incredibly fragile” after the Islamic Republic’s response to the idea of a peace agreement, which the Republican described as a “piece of garbage.”
“At the moment, the ceasefire remains in force, but it is incredibly fragile, I would say. The weakest it has ever been. And I say this after looking at the piece of garbage they sent us. I didn’t even finish reading it,” he told the press in the Oval Office of the White House.
The Republican said that, when watching the Iranian response, he felt that he was “wasting time,” which is why he noted that the ceasefire in force since April 8 is on “assisted breathing.”
“They want to negotiate and they present us with a stupid proposal, it is a stupid proposaland no one would accept it. Only (Barack) Obama would have accepted it,” he said.

The Republican insisted that his Administration has “one idea,” which consists of the Islamic Republic never obtaining a nuclear weapon, and criticized that this commitment does not appear in Tehran’s response.
Despite their disagreement, Trump responded to a question from the press that a diplomatic solution with Iran remains “very possible.”
The truce in the war initiated by the United States and Israel against Iran is at its weakest moment after Trump himself described it as “totally unacceptable” on Sunday. Tehran’s response to Washington’s peace proposal, the details of which are unknown.
Pakistan, a mediating country in the negotiations, confirmed that it received the Iranian response to the latest proposal from the United States, in the midst of the escalation of war by Tehran, which on Sunday attacked a commercial ship in Qatari waters with a drone. EFE
