Host Savannah Guthrie returned to NBC’s On the Present Time this Monday after a two-month absencein the midst of anguish over the disappearance of his mother.

During the broadcast, the journalist went out with her colleagues to Rockefeller Plaza, where she was received by dozens of followers with yellow ribbons and signs of support.

Visibly moved, Guthrie could not contain her tears as she thanked him for the love she had received.: “We have felt your prayers,” he said while drying his face.

The host was accompanied by her colleagues, including Al Roker and Jenna Bush Hager, who supported her during the emotional moment.

Before going out to meet the public, Guthrie resumed his place in the studio alongside Craig Melvin, starting the program normally.

“It’s good to be home,” he said at the beginning of the broadcast, showing strength despite the difficult personal situation he is going through.

His mother’s disappearance remains unsolved

The journalist’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen on January 31 when entering your home.

His disappearance was reported the next day, after he did not attend a digital religious service, which set off alarms among family and friends.

Days later, the FBI released images of a suspect: a masked and armed figure who was caught manipulating the home’s security camera.

Since then, the family has received several notes demanding Bitcoin money in exchange for information about Nancy. However, authorities have not been able to confirm its authenticity.

Although some people have been questioned, so far no arrests have been made and no conclusive clues have been obtained about their whereabouts.

The family has offered a $1 million reward for information leading to her finding.

Pain, faith and hope

In recent weeks, Guthrie has publicly shared the emotional impact of the disappearance, confessing her frustration and pain at the lack of answers.

During an Easter mass, he spoke about his internal struggle and sense of uncertainty, describing the experience as a “cruel wound” marked by not knowing what had happened.

Despite this, his return to television symbolizes an attempt to return to normality, while the search for his mother continues relentlessly.
