The US imposes new sanctions on networks in China and the Middle East for military support to Iran

The United States government reinforced its pressure strategy against Iran with a new package sanctions addressed to more than a dozen people and entities in Middle East, China, Belarus and United Arab Emirates, singled out for their alleged role in strengthening Iranian military capabilities.

The measures seek restrict Tehran’s access to technologyfinancing and materials linked to defense programs, in a context of sustained international tension.

Companies accused of supporting Iran

Among the affected entities are three Chinese companies:

  • Meentropy Technology Co. Ltd
  • The Earth Sight
  • Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co.,Ltd

These firms would have provided satellite images of US facilities located in the Middle East to Iranian authorities, according to official information.

Network linked to the Iranian military sector

The sanctions package includes Iran Ministry of Defense Export Centeran organization associated with the international marketing of the country’s military equipment.

In total, the measure affects 11 entities and 3 individuals, who are attributed participation in the acquisition of weapons, strategic materials and components for ballistic missiles and drones.

Against networks supporting China

The State Department noted that these actions are part of a sustained management policy on networks that support Iran.

The US government warned that will continue to take responsibility to foreign actors involved in military support to Tehran.

In the same line, the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessentstated that the measures seek to weaken the financial and operational structures linked to the Iranian military apparatus, in coordination with the strategy of President Donald Trump.

They seek to end the conflict

As sanctions intensifyThe United States and Iran hold talks to try to reach an agreement to put an end to the conflict active for 10 weeks.

Washington is considering a proposal 14 points contemplated by the suspension of Iranian nuclear enrichment for a period of between 10 and 20 years, in exchange for the lifting of economic sanctions and the release of frozen funds.
