The Spanish businessman Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera, known as Colate, launched a serious accusation against the singer Paulina Rubio stating that she was a victim of beatings by the artist during their marriage.
The statement occurred within the framework of a family hearing in a Miami court, where the custody and possible relocation of their son, Andrea Nicolás, is being debated. This public accusation adds a new chapter of tension to the long-standing conflict facing the former couple.
“I did not report her to avoid a scandal”
According to what Colate told the judge, the physical attacks occurred while he was still living with Paulina Rubio, although he decided Do not report them at the time to protect your family from public scrutiny and avoid harming your child.
During the hearing, the singer’s lawyer, Sandra Hoyos, He questioned the businessman why he never filed a formal complaint if he had really been attacked. To which Colate responded:
“It was something that had never happened before, she is the mother of our son and I did not want to put it in a report, much less make it public.”
He is also a Spanish businessman acknowledged before the court that there is evidence of the alleged violencealthough he admitted that he did not have them available at that time. He explained that the events happened several years ago and that his initial reaction was to remain silent and try to resolve the situation privately.
His appropriate defense argued that the decision to speak now is due to the current circumstances of the custody process, in which they consider it necessary for the judicial authority to take into account everything that happened during the marriage.

Paulina Rubio’s statement
Faced with the growing scandal, Paulina Rubio issued a statement in which she reaffirms her role as a mother. In the text, the Mexican singer thanked the support received and stressed:
“Being a mother is not only a part of my life, it is my reason for being and the most important role I will have.”
So far, the artist has not spoken directly about the accusations of violence made by her ex-partner.
The case continues its course in the Miami courts, where the future of custody and the possibility of the minor relocating to Madrid, where his father lives, will be defined.
