The celebration for the classification of the PSG at the end of the UEFA Champions League ended up marked by violence in Paris. The French authorities confirmed this Thursday a balance of 127 arrested and 11 injuredone of them serious, after the disturbances recorded during the night after the Parisian club went to the fight for the European title.
French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez reported that 107 arrests occurred in the capital and the rest in nearby municipalities. Furthermore, he detailed that 23 police officers They were injured, although all with minor injuries.

French authorities condemn violence after PSG victory
In statements to Europe 1 radio, Nuñez regretted the repetition of these events in sports celebrations related to the Paris Saint-Germain.
“We can’t get used to this violence “which is beginning to be common,” declared the official, who also highlighted the actions of the security forces in the face of “the hundreds of violent individuals who every time there is an event of this type cause incidents with the police.”

According to the minister, the rapid police intervention prevented looting of businesses and also prevented attempts to block the Paris ring road.
France prepares strong operation for the Champions League final
The French government confirmed that it is already working on a special security device for next May 30, the date on which the PSG will face the Arsenal in the final of the Champions Leaguescheduled in Budapest.
“We are not going to tolerate these types of actions, we are going to intervene systematically,” Nuñez warned.
The authorities are seeking to avoid scenarios similar to those recorded last year, when the Parisian club’s European title celebrations led to riots resulting in 150 arrests and two deaths.
Controversy over the creation of a fan zone in Paris
Nuñez also publicly criticized the mayor of Paris, Emmanuel Grégoire, for announcing the installation of a ‘fan zone’ to follow the final without prior coordination with the Ministry of the Interior.
“In general, you have to talk about it first with the prefect of police,” said the minister, who explained that they will evaluate the security conditions before authorizing the space for fans.
French government asks to celebrate without riots
The minister insisted that sporting successes must be celebrated without violence and assured that other European capitals have shown that it is possible to organize massive celebrations without incident.
Nuñez attributed the disturbances to “a group of individuals” and reiterated that the authorities will act firmly against any disturbance of public order.
“The State will always respond firmly,” he concluded.
