A suspect was arrested in connection with the accident in which a Hispanic man and his 14-month-old nephew died, which occurred early this Sunday in west Los Angeles.
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Western Traffic Division would have a man in custody since this Wednesday, who would allegedly be related to the hit and breeze incident in Playa del Rey, without providing more details, the ABC network said.
According to the LAPD, The car accident occurred at 4:34 a.m. Sunday. in the 6800 block of Vista del Mar Avenue, near the intersection with Culver Boulevard.

A Hispanic family of three adults and one child had just enjoyed an overnight get-together in Playa del Rey, and when they were just heading home, The driver of a white Jeep, who fled, crashed into the BMW truck in which they were traveling.
Because of the impact, Oswaldo Sandoval, 25, and his nephew Roger, 14 monthsdied from their injuries at the scene of the accident.
Oswaldo’s brother, Óscar Sandoval, who was behind the wheel of the BMW truck, suffered some injuries, while his 15-year-old sister remains hospitalized in critical condition.

According to Óscar, he was behind the wheel of the truck at the moment when a white Jeep, which was traveling at high speed, hit them on the passenger side at the intersection of Vista del Mar Avenue and Culver Boulevard, in Playa del Rey.
Óscar Sandoval did not hesitate to declare that the driver of the white Jeep had every intention of hitting them.
Witnesses to the accident said that The suspect driver got out of his vehicle and fled. on foot at full speed.

Sandoval mentioned that he tried to catch up with the suspect, but a broken rib prevented him from doing so..
When he returned to the crashed truck, He noticed the serious injuries that his son Roger and his brother Oswaldo had.. Both lost their lives at the scene of the accident.
The Sandoval family created a GoFundMe page to appeal to community members financial support to face the expenses of the double tragedy.
