A small plane made an emergency landing Saturday morning on Interstate 78 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. leaving several drivers who were traveling on the road stunned.

The incident occurred after the pilot reported engine problems while trying to head to a nearby airport, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Pennsylvania State Police.

The moment was recorded on video

The scene was captured by the dashboard camera of a driver, identified as Emily Rivera.who was heading from Harrisburg toward the Lehigh Valley when he witnessed the aircraft descend in front of his vehicle.

“It’s like thinking, ‘How crazy it would be if a plane landed right in front of me!’ But it’s not something you expect to happen in today’s life,” he told ABC News, comparing the scene to something from a movie.

No injuries and quick response

There were two people on board the aircraft: a 65-year-old pilot and a 34-year-old passenger, who were unharmed after the maneuver.

Authorities indicated that the plane, a 1995 Commander 114B model, had taken off from New Jersey and was bound for the state of Indiana.

Following the landing, eastbound traffic on the highway was temporarily diverted while emergency crews secured the area. Hours later, the road was reopened.

The aircraft was removed and towed to a nearby airport, while the FAA began an investigation to determine the exact causes of the mechanical failure.
