After months of speculation and absolute secrecy, Barry Keoghan finally decided to “clear his name”. The 33-year-old Irish actor broke his silence on the persistent accusations of infidelity that marked the end of his relationship with pop star Sabrina Wood employee in December 2024.
During his participation in the “Pals Preserve Secrets” podcast, hosted by Benny Blanco and Lil Dicky, Keoghan called the rumors a “false narrative” and “amplified” by social media.
According to the actor, The accusations began following a video posted by a user on TikTok that she claimed to have had an affair with him; Although the woman later admitted to making up the story, the damage to her reputation had already been done.
“I just disappeared,” the Oscar nominee confessed, explaining why he left Instagram and stopped attending social events. “There was a narrative circulating that was never officially talked about, a narrative that is not true and that I never confirmed. I walked away to protect my mental health.”
Keoghan described the harassment received as “vile and disgusting,” noting that The attacks were not only limited to his love lifebut they escalated to degrading comments about your physical appearance and his role as a father. The “The Banshees of Inisherin” actor stressed that he is not looking to “give pity,” but simply ask for respect.
“I’m not asking people to become fans of me or love me, that’s not common. I’m just asking that they stop assuming things and jumping on this narrative to attack me and bring me down,” he declared.
For its part, Sabrina Wood employee, 26, has not commented on her ex-partner’s statements. The relationship, which lasted approximately a year, was one of the most followed by the tabloid press until its breakup 18 months ago.
