Among designer lamps, impossible furniture and haute couture clothing, an unexpected guest appeared and stole everyone’s attention. Kia decided to break into Milan Design Week with more than just decorative aestheticsbringing to the stage a rather provocative vision of what the car of tomorrow could be.

The protagonist was the Imaginative and prescient Meta Turismo, a theory automobile that is not satisfied with just looking good.
You can see: Something is happening: electric cars are losing steam in the US.
The South Korean brand took advantage of its 80th anniversary to release the news, where the car stops being simply a means of transportation and becomes a complete sensory experience.
A nod to the past with a futuristic look
At first glance, Imaginative and prescient Meta Turismo plays with references that are familiar, but radically reinterpreted. There are lines that are reminiscent of the long trips of the 60s, combined with an aesthetic that seems taken from the most advanced aviation. This mixture generates a silhouette that does not go unnoticed.
It is no coincidence that many compare it with the DMC DeLorean, an icon that was also ahead of its time. In this case, Kia takes that spirit and takes it to another level with sharper lines, low proportions and a presence that conveys speed even when stopped.
Glazed surfaces play a key role. Large windows surround the vehicle, allowing natural light to flood the interior. Added to this are black details, luminous graphics and a very thin LED signature that reinforces its futuristic character.

An interior designed as an experience
Behind closed doors, the concept breaks several traditional rules. The cabin feels spacious, almost like a mobile lounge, where the driving position brings the driver closer to the front and creates an enveloping sensation.
Kia proposes three clear pillars in this proposal. One of them is high-performance driving, which is not limited to power figures but to sensations. There are lightweight sports seats, haptic controls and a design that seeks to connect the driver with the vehicle in a more direct way.
Another axis is digital interaction. The Imaginative and prescient Meta Turismo integrates a 3D augmented reality system, interfaces inspired by video games and customizable settings depending on the mood or type of trip. Everything indicates that technology is not a complement, but the heart of the experience.

A living room on wheels
The third pillar is perhaps the most striking. The interior can be transformed into a social space, with seats that adopt a relaxed posture and can even rotate up to 180° when the vehicle is stationary. The idea is to encourage interaction between occupants, something that makes sense on long trips or moments of rest.
Besides, The brand seeks to attack one of the weak points of electric cars, that feeling of mechanical disconnection that many users still perceive. To achieve this, it incorporates curious solutions such as simulated engine sounds, synchronized vibrations and a joystick-type lever that provides a certain amount of dynamism.

The GT Boost button completes the combo with immediate acceleration that promises emotions closer to those of a traditional sports car.
All this deployment responds to Kia’s design philosophy known as “United Opposites”. The idea is to combine elements that, in theory, should not coexist, but that together generate something completely new.
