Orbelin Pineda He has found his place in the world in Greek football. The former Cruz Azul player has established himself as an important piece in AEK Athens. From the club they intend to retain him, but it would already have a starting price due to possible interest from the MLS or Liga MX.

“AEK has expressed its intention to extend the contract (…) Everything will depend on the offer“said the representative. According to information from Transfermarkt, Orbelín Pineda ends his contract with the club in June 2027.
It is estimated that the Greek club will seek extend Orbelín Pineda’s contract until 2029 or 2030. This extension of the link would also promote a salary increase. Pineda currently perceives about $1.5 million dollars a year.
Price for MLS and Liga MX
The same portal explains that AEK Athens is aware that a foreign club could be interested in the services of Orbelín Pineda. The Mexican soccer player could go to the MLS or Liga MX in exchange for $9.3 million dollars. If the interested party is from Asia, the value would amount to $11.7 million dollars.
Orbelín Pineda arrived at AEK Athens in July 2023. The 30-year-old midfielder has already played 170 games with the Greek team. In more than 11,900 minutes on the field, Pineda has converted 20 goals and has conceded 17 assists.

According to information from Transfermarkt, Orbelín Pineda’s market value is around €7 million euros ($8.2 million dollars). Pineda’s performance in the 2026 World Cup could increase the value of the Mexican’s token.
