A PBS affiliate station engineer and former U.S. Marine died after being shot outside her home in Wichita, Kansas.in a case that authorities are investigating as domestic violence.
The victim, identified as Ivy Unruh, 25, was attacked around 8:00 a.m. Friday in the northeast of the city, The Contemporary York Submit reported.

Arrest at the scene
The well-known suspect is her husband, Joshua Orlando, 29, from whom she was separated. According to authorities, Orlando himself called 911 from the scene of the shooting.
He was arrested at the scene and later charged with first-degree murder, a charge that was raised after the victim’s death.
Prison records indicate that He remains in custody with bail set at $1.5 million.
The Wichita Police Department said the incident is being treated as a domestic violence case.

Ivy Unruh was a former member of the United States Marine Corps and worked as an engineer at PBS Kansas.

Her family remembered her as a woman who “served her country with honor, strength and selflessness.”
After his death, it was confirmed that Unruh was an organ donor. According to his family, he managed to save the lives of six people.
