However, there is a detail that draws attention from the beginning, at least for now, this model is not contemplated for the United States market.

Design that mixes form and efficiency

One of the most attractive points of the IONIQ 3 It’s in its design. Hyundai talks about a new category that it calls “Aero Hatch”a mix between traditional hatchback and advanced aerodynamic solutions that seek to optimize every kilometer of autonomy.

The silhouette follows the philosophy “Art of Metal”where each stroke has a reason for being. The result is an aerodynamic coefficient of 0.263, a figure that places it among the most efficient in its segment. The front end is low and streamlined, while the drop in the roof helps improve airflow without sacrificing interior space.

The pixelated light signature, already characteristic of the IONIQ family, is present again and gives it a distinctive touch. Besides, Customization plays an important role, with eleven exterior colors, several interior combinations and wheel options ranging from 16 to 19 inches.

Spacious interior with a practical approach

Despite its contained size, The IONIQ 3 surprises when the door opens. The flat floor and well-used wheelbase provide a comfortable cabin for five passengers.

The cargo space also complies, with 15.57 cubic feet and an additional compartment called Megabox that adds versatility. Everything is designed for everyday use, from short trips to weekend getaways.

The interior atmosphere is committed to relaxation, with seats like “Leisure” and recycled materials that reinforce the brand’s sustainable approach. There is a clear intention to make the car a pleasant space, not just functional.

Technology that simplifies the experience

Hyundai introduces the Pleos Connect system in this model, based on Android Car OS. The interface is clean, easy to understand and allows a high level of customization, something that is becoming increasingly important in this type of vehicle.

There are also practical solutions such as Digital Key 2which allows you to use your smartphone as a key, and the Walk & Payment systemwhich simplifies the charging process. Added to this is the Car-to-Load function, useful for powering external devices in different situations.

Sufficient autonomy for day to day

The IONIQ 3 offers two battery configurations designed for different uses. The first reaches 214 miles with 147 horsepowerwhile the second reaches 308 miles with 135 horsepowermore than enough for intensive urban use.

As for charging, it can go from 10% to 80% in just 29 minutesa fact that makes it practical for those who do not want to waste time at stations.

For now, this model is destined for markets such as Europe, where electric hatchbacks continue to gain ground. The absence in the United States leaves the door open for the future, although at the moment Hyundai seems to have other priorities for this market.
