The president of the United States, Donald Trump, threatened again this Sunday to unleash “hell” in Iran by attacking Iranian infrastructure next Tuesdaywhen the ultimatum he gave the country to unblock Hormuz expires, and urged the Islamic republic to reopen “the fucking strait.”
“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day all in one, in Iran. “There will be nothing like it!!!” Trump wrote on his social network, Reality Social.
“Open the fucking strait, you fucking crazy people, or you’ll live in hell. YOU WILL SEE IT! Praise be to Allah“added the Republican.
A few days ago, the president extended the ultimatum for Iran to unblock the Strait of Hormuz until April 6 at 8:00 p.m. Washington time (00:00 GMT on April 7).
The closure of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world’s oil passes, has been one of the most destabilizing consequences derived from the war in the Middle Eaststarted on February 28 after the US and Israeli bombings against Iran.
Trump promised that if Iran does not resolve this situation by the deadline, he will destroy its power plants.
Such an attack could put even more upward pressure on the prices of energy, fuel and supply chains, in a context in which they are skyrocketing.
“Remember when I gave Iran ten days to reach a deal or open the Strait of Hormuz? Time is running out: there are 48 hours left until all hell breaks loose on them. Glory to God!“, the Republican had written on Saturday on his networks.
In addition, the American president promised a few days ago to attack Iran “hardly” in the next two or three weeks.
Trump addressed the nation on Wednesday in a message in which he did not provide concrete details for ending the war or a strategy for reopening Hormuz. EFE
