In a market where technology advances at great speed, maintaining mechanical consistency has become a challenge that not everyone can overcome.

Toyota sets the pace again
The study has evaluated 26 manufacturers present in the US market, leaving out Chinese brands due to trade restrictions. Within that group, Toyota leads with 66% reliability, a figure that reflects the good standard performance of its entire range.
Hybrid models continue to be the main pillar of this result. They are cars that have been in constant evolution for years and have managed to balance efficiency and durability. Electric cars and plug-in hybrids also score points, although their weight is still lower within the total.

Subaru does not get off the podium
During the last years, subaru had managed to position itself as the reference in this type of studies. Now it is in second place with 63%, very close to Toyota.
The difference is so tight that it is practically a technical tie. Also, looking back, last year Subaru was leading with 68% to Toyota’s 62%. This change of positions makes it clear that the fight over reliability is far from being resolved.
The third place is occupied lexus with 60%. Share many mechanical solutions with toyotawhich makes the slight difference in score even more interesting. The report does not go into detail on this point, but the gap is there.

Tesla climbs and Mazda loses ground
One of the most striking movements in the ranking is carried out by tesla. The American brand rises eight positions and is in ninth place. Part of this improvement is explained by adjustments to the Model 3 and the update to the Model Y.
Even so, not everything plays to your decision. The Cybertruck It continues to generate problems that affect the overall assessment, especially in aspects related to its hardware.
Mazdaon the other hand, lives the opposite situation. The Japanese brand falls from sixth to fourteenth place. The first conclusions point to difficulties with its new electrified mechanics, especially in the plug-in hybrid versions.

Europe remains in the middle zone
European brands appear in intermediate positions within the ranking. Audi is in 13th place with 44% reliability, Volkswagen in 16th with 42% and Mercedes-Benz in 19th with 41%.
In last place is rivian with 24%, closing the classification as the least reliable brand in the study.
