John Fetterman, Senator from Pennsylvania, announced that he will vote again against a resolution on war powers to stop US attacks against Irana blueprint promoted by Democrats in Congress.
Given the announcement by Chuck Schumer, Senate minority leader, indicating that next week the upper house will vote on said resolution, the senator with the bald head, shorts and sweatshirts, said in an interview with the television network Fox News that he will once again vote against the measure, since he believes that the right thing to do is to support the work of the US armed forces against terrorism and not hinder it as his party intends to do.
“We have to support our armed forces so they can achieve the goals of Epic Fury. I’m old enough to remember that we used to support our military, and we would all agree that “Iran is the biggest financier of terrorism in the world,” he said.
Although Democratic Senators Tim Kaine, Cory Booker and Chris Murphy last month endorsed separate war powers resolutions to halt military action against Iran without congressional authorization, the efforts were rejected.

The highlight was that, while John Fetterman became the only Democrat to vote against the proposal of his fellow party members; Republican Rand Paul, an opponent of Donald Trump’s policies, stood out for being the only conservative member to support the war powers resolutions promoted by his political adversaries.
Although Fetterman reiterates that he is a Democrat, a large sector of his colleagues see him as an ally of the policies promoted by President Donald Trump.
In fact, before the New York magnate assumed the presidency for the second time, the Pennsylvania Democrat was the only member of his party to go to his residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida to exchange ideas on how to work in a coordinated manner with the aim of moving the country forward.
John Fetterman’s perspective is that, within his party, they waste more time trying to expose the mistakes of the Trump administration instead of rebuilding their bases with new proposals adapted to the needs of citizens in view of the midterm elections to be held in November, hence their refusal to support their proposals.
