What a surprise the public attending the preview of the long-awaited film Disney Pixar, “Toy Account 5”. The reason? Singer Taylor Swift starred in a surprise performance of the song she composed for the new installment of the acclaimed saga.
This is “I Knew It, I Knew You”, a piece inspired by the character of ‘Jessie’ and which made her experiment again with the country style that gave her worldwide fame.
Their performance took place at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles and involved a piano that added a nostalgic touch to the song. The artist honored the character on which the song is inspired, ‘Jessie’, by appearing on stage in a striking yellow embroidered dress.
Taylor Swift did not miss the opportunity to share some emotional words with which she celebrated being part of this project, but not before announcing that the film is “incredibly beautiful” and “a masterpiece.”
“It means a lot to be a small part of the universe of these films. Toy Account 5 is my favorite of all the Toy Accounts. I feel very lucky to be part of this.”, he noted before leaving the stage.
Another moment that moved the audience was his collaboration on stage with Randy Newman, as They sang “You’ve Bought a Buddy in Me,” the song that has become an icon within the franchise.
Prior to this surprise on the part of the production, Taylor Swift walked the event’s red carpet dressed in a mini dress with a puffed skirt and a strapless neckline with floral designs from the Erdem fashion house.
In addition to posing alone, the famous woman was seen alongside the real cast of the franchise: Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear) and Joan Cusack (Jessie). This without leaving aside the characters who join the new installment: Greta Lee, as Lilypad, and Conan O’Brien, as Smarty Pants.
The film “Toy Account 5” will be released on June 19 in theaters in the United States and the rest of the world. For this installment, the beloved toy gang will face a new villain that threatens to stay: technology.
