The above was known after the Liga MX announced the official calendar of the next championship, which will only have a double date and that after the first three dates it will have a 15-day suspension to make way for the fourth edition of the Leagues Cup between teams from Liga MX and the Predominant League Soccer (MLS) that will be played from August 4 to 13.

In the Apertura 2026 championship there will be high-demand duels such as the classic of classics between América against Chivas, which would be played between September 19 or 20 as part of the activity on day 9.
Other important matches will be the young classic between Cruz Azul against América and Chivas against Pumas, scheduled between September 12 and 13, within the activity of day 8 of the new championship.
The capital classic between Pumas against América on matchday 16 also stands out, which will be played on November 7 or 8, while Chivas against Cruz Azul is scheduled for date 17 between November 21 and 22.
The qualification for the league will be from first to eighth place without using the play in system, which is why the quarterfinals are scheduled for November 25, while the last of the championship is scheduled to be played on December 10.
The championship schedule includes 17 days and where there will not be much time for the teams to get ready for the new competition and it will even begin with the final of the World Cup on the backs that is scheduled for next July 19 in New Jersey, United States.
