A man and his two 10-year-old twin sons were shot to death in an apparent case of murder-suicide this Sunday afternoon in the Canoga Park district, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) reported.

According to the LAPD, at approximately 7:15 p.m. a call was received for report a shooting in the 8000 block of Owensmouth.

When emergency services arrived at the scene, The death of the man and the two twin children was confirmedaccording to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).

In a statement, the LAPD reported that Shooting investigated as apparent murder-suicidein which the father is the suspect of shooting his two sons.

It was deployed a large number of officers around an apartment complex located next to a baseball field.

The police presence also motivated dozens of residents of the area to gatherwho observed the work of the officers in the cordoned-off perimeter.
