Design baby wipes recalled due to contamination risk, FDA says

According to the FDA, due to “several consumer complaints and reports of adverse effects alleging product discoloration and symptoms such as skin irritation, eye irritation, and infections potentially associated with product use,” the wipes packages are being removed from the market.

Through a statement, the retailer alerted its customers about the use of this product, which is mostly used by newborns vulnerable to infections, but also people with skin lesions are likely to contract local infections, while “in immunosuppressed people, newborns, infants and young children, the infection is more likely to spread to the bloodstream, which could lead to life-threatening sepsis or pneumonia,” the company notes.

Voluntary retirement also includes Cucumber Scented Puny one Wipes from Up & Up Contemporary sold in packs of 72, 216 and 800 units. “We care deeply about the safety of our customers and our products,” Design said while advising consumers to throw away the product or return it to the store where they purchased it for a refund.
