At least six people were arrested after a demonstration which took place this Saturday afternoon as a protest on the one-year anniversary of intensified raids by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE) in downtown Los Angeles.
Hundreds of protesters They gathered in front of the Metropolitan Detention Center, in the area of Temple Avenue and Aliso Avenuecarrying flags and banners. From the first moments of the meeting, there were some clashes between protesters and police officers.

At one point, the situation became tense when agents of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) tried to arrest a protester on the street.

A video recorded a person when he shouted: “My eyes, I can’t see!”while federal agents used some chemicals to disperse the concentration of protesters.
Witnesses to the incident mentioned that there were screams and fightswhich left blood splattered on the sidewalk, as the situation became more tense.
Shortly after 8.00 pm, LAPD officials reported the arrest of several peoplealthough they clarified that the arrests were related to “various criminal activities.”
