Jill Biden, the nation’s former first lady, is convinced that if the leadership of the Democratic Party had allowed her husband Joe to continue ahead, then she would have defeated Donald Trump on the ticket as she did four years ago.

In July 2024, the New York magnate and the then president of the nation faced each other in a debate with the aim that citizens could compare their campaign proposals and thus give them their vote months later.

Although the Democrat had continually challenged the Republican with the promise of demonstrating how damaging his policies would be if he were to once again assume the hang-an-eye-on role of the government, the night when he faced him he appeared fragile and dispersed. in his suggestions to the point of practically stammering when it was his turn to speak.

This situation disconcerted Donald Trump himself who, instead of overwhelming him with his speech, chose to let his adversary sink in the sea of confusion created by his behavior displayed on a momentous night that practically defined the destiny of the White House.

After the debate ended, it was only a matter of days before the leadership of the Democratic Party forced Biden to end his campaign in search of a hypothetical re-election.

During an interview with the television channel MS Now, Jill Biden dismissed reports that she and White House staff have been hiding the 83-year-old Democrat to avoid displaying his deteriorating health.

“If we were hiding it behind the scenes, why did we ask Trump’s team to participate in the debate? I mean, we were the ones who proposed it. If that were true, why did we expose it? I don’t think it was protected. I think he would have defeated Donald Trump in those elections,” he mentioned.

Questioned about the advance of cancer in the former president’s body, the 75-year-old Democrat accepted that he seems increasingly tired.

“Cancer is really hard. I would say he’s fine. He’s still giving speeches, traveling by train a couple of times a month, keeping his schedule. But cancer takes its toll. He gets tired a little more often, but I don’t know. It’s been difficult,” he stressed.
