A former employee of a property management company in Florida is wanted by authorities after being Accused of diverting nearly $200,000 from homeowners’ associations to finance lavish lifestyle.

Martin County authorities issued an arrest warrant for Alexandra Delacaridad Gonzalez, a former accountant for a property management company, who is currently on the run.

According to the research, The woman allegedly stole funds while working at Avant-Garde Property Administration in Stuart, Florida.

Prolonged fraud scheme

According to the sheriff’s office, Gonzalez would have spent approximately a year issuing checks in his name from homeowner association (HOA) accounts I managed.

To conceal the embezzlement, he allegedly created fictitious invoices, false accounting records, and forged authorized signatures.

Authorities indicated that he started with amounts of around $2,000 per transaction, repeating them several times a week, until reaching higher amounts of up to $5,000 per check.

Those mainly affected would be residents of communities such as Whitemarsh Reserve and Dunes of Hutchinson Island.

According to reports, the amount stolen amounts to about $111,000 at Whitemarsh Reserve and about $85,000 at Dunes of Hutchinson Island.

Lifestyle and consequences

The authorities assure that The suspect used the money for personal expenses, including shopping, vacations and cosmetic surgeries.

The case could directly impact residents, who could face increases in maintenance fees to cover losses.

Gonzalez faces multiple charges, including fraud over $50,000, grand theft, and dozens of counts of forgery and embezzlement. Bail was set at $1,350,000.

Authorities believe that he could be found in areas such as Miramar or Vero Seaside, and are requesting citizen collaboration to find his whereabouts.
