Neither decades of experience nor the title of queen of romantic comedies exempts Jennifer Lopez to feel butterflies – or rather tension – in the stomach when you have to film a romantic scene.
During the Los Angeles premiere of her new film for Netflix, “Build of Business Romance,” the 56-year-old actress and singer confessed that filming kissing scenes still manages to completely take her out of her comfort zone.
“I’ve been doing this for a long time,” Lopez told Folks magazine. “I want to say it’s okay, but it’s always something. It’s like, ‘Okay, I have to kiss this person that I don’t know and I’m just getting to know.’ You get a little nervous, that’s all”.
The artist explained that the pressure intensifies due to the technical environment of the build.surrounded by lights and huge cameras fixed on every movement.
On this occasion, His cinematic “victim” was the British actor Brett Goldsteinknown for his role in “Ted Lasso.” Curiously, the project was born from Goldstein’s own admiration for JLo, as he wrote the script with her in mind exclusively.
Despite the initial nerves and shyness of filming, the chemistry between the two flowed exceptionally. In fact, Lopez recently surprised on television by crowning Goldstein as “the best kisser” of his entire film career.surpassing renowned industry stars such as George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey and Richard Gere.
“Build of business Romance,” which tells the secret romance between a powerful CEO and her employee, will arrive on the streaming platform on June 5.
