Last night, for the first time in “The House of the Famous“, the production inaugurated the dynamic “El Portal”, a space where inhabitants are exposed to the unknown. Last night, the first to live this experience during the sixth season of this format was Celinee Santos.
The resident faced a confrontation with Jennifer Colón, a former beauty queen originally from Puerto Rico. Colón arrived to exercise his right of reply to a series of statements that Santos made about his experience in the Omit Universo contest, in which both competed in 2026.
While Colón was ready with all his arguments, Celinee stood in front of the ‘happy’ portal without having a fixed direction. The dynamic, based on the first episode, seems to have been conceived under the premise of confronting a resident with his greatest nemesis in real life. When it is assumed that, according to “La Jefa” and the hosts -Javier Poza and Jimena Gállego-, not even the inhabitants should cross that line of putting their lives outside the game, inside the house. Production in the dynamics of incongruity, playing at what the inhabitants are so reproached for!
99% of the inhabitants are missing from living this dynamic. Does this mean that in the case of Laura Zapata they will put her face to face with Alfredo Adame? What will happen then with Horacio Pancheri? Will they face Samadhi Zendejas?
Ah, no, it seems that not everyone will be the same. So, does the production reveal who it seeks to humiliate and minimize, who it wants to make live a special moment, full of love and peace?
What is the purpose of this dynamic that borders on cruelty!
This, without a doubt, is an unnecessary, unfair and out of hand dynamic. Since no one knows the reaction that this could generate in the participant. It is not advisable to open portals that they themselves are not going to close later.
Who can reveal what a resident is ready for and what he is not ready for when faced with a confrontation of this magnitude?
After what we saw last night, the question is fair: What does the production intend with this space? Is it then about “putting our foot” in the competition with the desire that some advance and not others? Isn’t it enough to have films edited in cinemas out of any context? Isn’t it enough with the cut videos that show discussions without before and after, to feed a biased public opinion of some versus others? Isn’t it enough to have critics on the panel who are specifically biased towards one side and against participants due to personal disputes, which have nothing to do with the game and their performance within the competition?
Isn’t it enough to generate a negative reading of some, even if they share the same defects and qualities as others? Isn’t it enough to use a speech generated within the house, and then take it to the galas and thus make fun of a person when what is required of the inhabitants is respect? Isn’t the house sufficiently polarized and violated to continue giving ammunition to friends and enemies so that the offenses and recriminations continue?
The production brought Celinee Santos’ biased past into the house. In positioning, any inhabitant of land will be able to make use of a speech that the production decided to carry and make it part of the game. Is this fair to her? Will it be fair to the rest?
Under what criteria will the production now ask that the game focus on the house?
This dynamic seems unnecessary, humiliating and without reason to me. The public even filled social media with disapproval. Public opinion is not in favor of Telemundo with this game and this is expressed with comments such as: “I did NOT like that dynamic. And even uglier is the omission that was made for that… She looked like a chola for looking for focus.” “The new dynamic is very ugly. If you are below score, do not humiliate your inhabitants; look for something better.”
On the other hand, it should be noted that this dynamic as such became the highlight of the night and the elimination of Julia Argüelles took a backseat.
