Moments of tension were experienced during the start of the European leg of Ricky Martin’s tour after a person threw tear gas on stage while the Puerto Rican offered a concert in Montenegro.
According to an official statement issued by the artist’s team, The incident occurred during the first minutes of the demonstration offered in Podgorica’s Independence Squarethe capital of Montenegro.
“Ricky Martin and his entire team immediately left the stage while internal security and local authorities worked to control the situation and guarantee the safety of those present,” explained Róndine Alcalá, head of public relations and publicist for the famous man.
Despite the initial shock, the singer’s team managed to contain the situation and guarantee the safety of those present, which is why the famous person decided to continue with the presentation.
“Although members of the artist’s work team recommended not continuing with the show, Once the authorities confirmed that the situation was under preserve a watch on and that the public could return safely, Ricky Martin decided to resume the concert to fulfill his commitment to his followers.“, reads the writing.
The message concluded by confirming that The singer of “Livin’ la vida loca” and “Vente Pa’ca” will continue his Ricky Martin Stay tour with upcoming performances scheduled in Europe and additional international dates, as planned.
So far, Montenegrin authorities have not reported the arrest of any suspects, nor reported any serious injuries related to the recent incident.
Meanwhile, Ricky Martin prepares his suitcases for the next stops on his world tour during the months of June and July 2026: Croatia, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary.
